Replace your stock Autolite 1100 carb with a brand new 200cfm Vaporizer from Pony Carbs. The Vaporizer is a redesigned 1100-1V Autolite carburetor which now incorporates Annular Fuel Discharge boosters. Annular fuel discharge by definition, is where the fuel is discharged into the bore of the carburetor from a series of small holes around the perimeter of the booster venturi, rather than a single hole. This method of discharging to fuel breaks up and partially atomizes the fuel for better throttle response, improved fuel economy, and more power. It's as close as you can get to fuel injection, without the expense. All Autolite carbs also utilize a one piece float bowl and main body casting, which eliminates leaks that are common on other carbs, thus reducing maintenance and downtime.
The Vaporizer comes with an automatic choke, and an optional header tube ($25 extra). The extra long, bendable, insulated, header tube, clamps to the outside of the exhaust manifold (or header) and replaces the factory pre-bent stainless steel choke tube that is pressed into the exhaust manifold. Once installed, the open end of the tube brings heated air up to the black choke cap (automatic chokes) in much the same way as the original tube. The tube can be bent to any shape, keeping it neat and clean, with a factory installed appearance.
All carburetors are installed and adjusted on a running test engine prior to shipping, and come with a one year written warranty (from date of shipment), a new fuel filter, base gasket, and an installation and troubleshooting DVD.
All 144/170ci and 200ci (65-67) come with a Spark Control Valve, which works with your stock Load-O-Matic distributor. The 200ci (68-69) carbs come without the SCV, allowing them to work with stock, late model, or aftermarket distributors.
We also offer a Custom 1V Carb Adaptor so you can install the Vaporizer on a late model cylinder head with with a 1.75" carb bore. See Carb Adaptors for more information.
