Classic Inlines New "DYNO ROOM"
September 2008
Classic Inlines spends time on the dyno, testing the progressive Weber,
a Holley 350, and an Autolite 240cfm carb. For the first part of our testing we mount the
carbs using
the popular 2 to 1 carb adaptor. For
the
second part, we
test the same carbs on a modified cylinder head, which
allows
the carbs to be mounted to the log intake without using
the 2-1 adaptor.
Our goals are to determine 1) which 2V carb swap offers
the best results, 2) the power and torque gains for each method,
and finally 3) which is
the most cost effective method.
Plus results from many other dyno runs.
Visit our new "Dyno Room" to see the results. |

Dyno Results from Pony Carbs
|
In mid May 2008, Classic Inlines visited Pony Carbs to do some joint testing with our new aluminum cylinder heads. During the day, we did 14 dyno runs using the customers current 500cfm Holley, Pony's new Annular Discharge 1V, three Autolite 2V's, and their Autolite 480-4V Spread Bore. Any guess as to which performed best? Click here to find out. Or you can click here to see
the results from previous dyno's on this motor, as well as several other motors
that are using Classic Inlines Aluminum Cylinder Head.
